UK Christmas Markets

There are many markets around the UK that are very popular! From big, town centre markets, to small local community ones, yet they are all full of Christmas cheer and joy!

Lets start close to home!

Liverpool Christmas Markets:
I have not personally been to the Liverpool Markets this year, but they are usually quite good! I will admit, they are not something that I tend to go into town for… but if I am there for a different reason around the holidays, then I will definitely go and take a look! They have adorable home made decorations, lots of yummy treats and of course the classic mulled wine!

Manchester Christmas Markets:
The Manchester Markets are often a big hit! They tend to set up various market stalls in different areas of the City, so it is definitely worth taking a full day if you are wanting to explore as many of the stalls as possible. Again you can find lots of homemade decorations and gifts, lots of nice food and sweet treats, fair ground rides and sheltered stalls to stop for a nice hot drink or an alcoholic beverage.

Edinburgh Christmas Markets:
These markets are on my bucket list! I love Scotland, though I never get to visit enough. I have not been to Edinburgh since I was a toddler and I would love to take a Christmas trip up there with Jacob! Not only are their markets meant to be incredible, but it is also said to be a very beautiful and romantic place to visit.
The markets have a lot to boast about, with mulled Irn Bru, Harry Potter themed gifts, lots of fairground rides, ice skating and their very own Santa Land! These markets are believed to be the best in the country!

Local Community Market (Upholland, Skelmersdale)
Our very own MJ helped to run a lovely Christmas Market in a local church last weekend! With lots of small businesses setting up stalls to sell their handmade products and baked goodies and secondhand stalls selling pre-loved gifts. It looked to be very well put together, with lots of locals stopping in for a visit and lots of Christmas cheer!
